About us
Who we are
We are a team dedicated to the Gebr-Heir project, inspired by Liqe Mezemiran Yilma Hailu and passionate Sunday School youth in Ethiopia.
The project focuses on nurturing Sunday school servants and helps improve their life by giving them vocational skills training, creating job opportunities and Fostering and nurturing entrepreneurship.
The project works jointly with The Yilmonic Non-profit, Inc., which currently serves as the primary source of funding. The Yilmonic also helps the project with trainings, networking and consultations.
Our Short History
The Gebre-heir project was established on October 11, 2022 G.C. Its five founding and board members are servants of Lafto Debre Tiguhan St. Michael Sunday School. Shortly after its establishment, Gebre’hier was recognized by the EOTC’s Addis Ababa Archdiocese Charitable Acts Department on November 1, 2022.

Achievements and Impact
Since the launch of the project just 6 months back, 53 Sunday School youth servants from 15 different Sunday schools located in Addis have been provided with vocational skill trainings customized to their career interest. Moreover, 11 youth servants have been provided with startup funding and support to bring their business ideas to life

He is a known gospel Singer for the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, that has been serving for nearly thirty years. While most know and love him for his Yaredawi Gospel Songs, he is also a passionate writer, poet and talented painter that uses his talents for serving God throughout his life. He is hoping to share and expand his service and passion for the church through many digital platform and wants to invite you follow along with him on his artistic journey.
